Wallet Tools List

RA

Rainbow

Rainbow is a self-custody Ethereum / EVM wallet built for people who want crypto to feel less like spreadsheet software. Mobile-first (iOS/Android), browser extension later. Strong NFT gallery, L2s out of the box (Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Zora, and more), swaps, bridges, ENS. Open source. ~0.85% fee on in-app swaps. No Bitcoin, no Solana. Best “pretty and usable” EVM wallet, not the deepest DeFi power tool or the widest multichain kitchen sink.

SA

Safe{Wallet}

Safe{Wallet} (formerly Gnosis Safe) is the standard smart-contract multisig for Ethereum and EVM chains. Not a MetaMask clone. Your Safe is an onchain account controlled by M-of-N owners (e.g. 2-of-3, 3-of-5). Used for DAO treasuries, protocol ops, and high-value self-custody. Modules, spending limits, batching, Safe Apps. Open source. No product license fee. You pay gas. Secures on the order of $100B+ AUM in ecosystem claims. EVM-only. Misconfigured signers or shady modules can still wreck you.

OK

OKX Wallet

OKX Wallet is OKX’s self-custody Web3 app, not the OKX exchange balance. Mobile + browser extension (+ Telegram mini-app). 100–130+ chains, built-in DEX aggregator (Easy / Advanced / Meme modes), bridges, NFTs, DeFi earn, and an onchain data terminal. Seed or (legacy) MPC “keyless” setups. Strong as a multichain trading / dApp hub. Hot wallet. Swap UI fees often 0–0.5%+ on top of DEX costs. Exchange brand and geo limits are the trust baggage.

EX

Exodus

Exodus is a self-custody multichain wallet famous for looking good and being easy. Real desktop app (Windows, Mac, Linux) plus mobile and a browser extension. Hold, send, stake, NFTs, in-app swaps across 50+ networks / hundreds of curated assets. Keys stay on your device behind a 12-word seed. Best Trezor pairing in the category turns Exodus into a pretty front end for cold storage. Closed-source. Swap spreads often run ~2–5%. Everyday portfolio wallet, not a vault or a cheap DEX terminal.

CO

Coinbase Wallet

Coinbase Wallet is Coinbase’s self-custody product, not the Coinbase exchange. You hold the keys. Mobile + browser extension for the classic seed-phrase wallet; newer Smart Wallet / Base Account uses passkeys and ERC-4337 instead of 12 words. Strong Base / Ethereum / L2 path, plus Solana and Bitcoin on the classic app. Easy hop from a Coinbase exchange balance into onchain dApps. Hot wallet. In-app swaps often ~1%. Coinbase cannot reset a lost seed or passkey backup.

RA

Rabby Wallet

Rabby is a DeBank-built, open-source self-custody wallet for Ethereum and 100+ EVM chains. Browser extension first, plus desktop and mobile. The killer feature is pre-sign transaction simulation: you see balance changes, approvals, and risk flags before Confirm. Auto network switching, approval revoke tools, scam-site warnings, Ledger/Trezor pairing. Built-in swap fee about 0.25% (cheaper than MetaMask’s ~0.875%). EVM-only. No Solana, no Bitcoin. Hot wallet made for people who actually sign DeFi txs every week.

TR

Trezor

Trezor is the original hardware wallet brand (SatoshiLabs, Czech Republic, since 2014). Keys stay offline on the device; you approve sends on the screen. Current lineup is Safe 3 / Safe 5 / Safe 7, managed through Trezor Suite. Open-source firmware is the main pitch versus Ledger. Shamir multi-share backups, passphrase wallets, CoinJoin and Tor for Bitcoin privacy. Strong for BTC/ETH self-custody. Weaker than Ledger on some altcoin / Solana convenience and mobile Bluetooth history (Safe 7 closes that gap).

LE

Ledger

Ledger is the mainstream hardware wallet brand: a physical device that keeps private keys inside a Secure Element chip so signing happens offline, not in a browser. Pair with Ledger Live (rebranded Ledger Wallet app) for balances, sends, swaps, staking, and dApp connect. Lineup runs Nano S Plus / Nano X / Nano Gen5 through Flex and Stax touchscreens. Broad coin support. Closed-source SE firmware and optional Ledger Recover still divide the community. Device security is strong; phishing and user error still drain people.

TR

Trust Wallet

Trust Wallet is a Binance-owned, mobile-first self-custody wallet built for breadth. One app for 100+ chains (BTC, ETH, BNB Chain, Solana, TRON, and a long tail), swaps, staking, NFTs, dApps, and fiat ramps. Extension exists for desktop. You hold the seed. Free to install. Costs show up as gas, swap spreads (~0.5–1% / often cited ~0.7%), and partner buy fees. Huge download base. Hot wallet. Fake apps and phishing are the daily danger. Best as a multichain Swiss Army knife, not the sharpest single-chain specialist.

PH

Phantom

Phantom is the go-to self-custody wallet for Solana, now stretched into a multichain daily driver. Extension plus mobile. SOL, SPL tokens, Solana NFTs, staking, in-wallet swaps, and dApp connect were the original job. Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Bitcoin (incl. Ordinals), Sui, Monad, HyperEVM sit beside that. Clean UI, Blowfish-style scam checks, Ledger support. Hot wallet. About 0.85% on many in-app swaps. Still beats MetaMask on Solana feel; loses to Rabby / MetaMask on deep custom EVM networking.

ME

MetaMask

MetaMask is the default self-custody wallet for Ethereum and most EVM dApps. Browser extension plus mobile, built by Consensys. You hold the keys (or a seedless / smart-account path). Connect to DeFi, NFTs, L2s. Built-in swaps, bridges, staking shortcuts, Portfolio dashboard, and Snaps for extra networks and tools. Unmatched “Connect Wallet” compatibility. Hot wallet risks and a 0.875% swap/bridge service fee are the usual tradeoffs.
